Since 1906 the masters at Montblanc have been creating writing instruments universally acknowledged for their unequaled elegance and exquisite workmanship. The Montblanc pen - with it's. Has become a timeless classic that accompanies its owner for life. (the emblem, adopted in 1913, represents the famous Mont Blanc mountain - the highest in the Alps - viewed from above). A vintage 1997 Montblanc Meisterstück Classique Czar Nicolai rollerball pen, made of malachite (a gemstone favored by the Czar) and vermeil (18K gold plated 925 sterling silver), is a rare and beautiful find.

The "Meisterstuck" (translated as "Masterpiece" in English) is Montblanc's flagship line of pen. The Czar Nikolai "Classique" style pen (model # 22162) has a total length of 5 3/8 inches (4 3/4 inches uncapped) and a diameter of 1/2 inch at its widest point.

The gold plated 925 sterling silver vermeil barrel has a pinstripe finish and is stamped "AG 925". The cap, adorned with Malachite gemstone and resin, features a triple gold band engraved with the words "Montblanc", "Meisterstuck".

Montblanc's trade-mark white snowcap perches atop. Is in excellent condition both cosmetically and functionally and feels and writes beautifully.
