The cap rings are engraved with the serial number, Made in Germany and "Montblanc - Meisterstuck". Montblanc's Famous star, in a white lacquer, sits atop the cap. This fine writing instrument has a Medium 18k gold, two-tone nib.

The Montblanc Barley Fountain Pen comes in a basic Montblanc gift box without documents. The pen has never been used but does have patina.
